HUK-COBURG, Coburg, Germany
The headquarters of the HUK-COBURG insurance group is undergoing an update, featuring a work environment that conveys security and expertise interpreted in a contemporary style.
In office design, where leadership takes shape, it’s not only the details that matter but the values the space embodies. HUK-COBURG, one of Germany’s leading insurance providers with over 13 million clients, entrusted the redesign of its headquarters to Bayreuth-based architects Becher & Partner. The result? Office floors that communicate trust, stability, and expertise. These are spaces where the foundations of security are established—offering reassurance and reflecting competence.
Within the company premises, thoughtfully selected materials, masterful craftsmanship, and cutting-edge technology converge to create an environment that is both representational and welcoming. In the conference rooms, custom-made Conference-X Tables and Leadchair Management chairs seamlessly integrate functionality and design, underscoring an unwavering commitment to quality.
A standout feature of the redesign is an elliptical conference table designed for 24 people. Built on the Conference-X system, this custom centerpiece showcases walnut veneers with a radial grain pattern, creating a striking sense of depth. Impeccable craftsmanship enhances its design, balancing simplicity with a touch of distinction. Fully equipped with state-of-the-art media technology, the table seamlessly unites functionality and artistry.
Each office reflects a distinct character, harmonizing focused workspaces with areas for both formal and informal dialogue. Walter K. pieces, including the Keypiece Communication Desk, Bao Armchairs, Ishino Sofa, and Foster 620 Table, soften the atmosphere with organic forms and gentle curves. A palette of light wood tones, grays, and warm yellow accents creates a welcoming yet professional setting.
Just as employees bring unique perspectives, their offices reflect individuality through tailored design elements. Linear architectural structures in shades of gray and black, paired with integrated lighting, create a sense of order. Warm wooden accents in the Keypiece Communication Desk and Keypiece Conference Table encourage connection and collaboration.
