Reichstag in Berlin, Germany

Visitors to the Reichstag's dome by Foster + Partners experience clearly defined shapes and an excellent view.

As one of the most prestigious buildings in Berlin, and the most important government building in Germany, the Reichstag is a very popular tourist destination. The glass dome designed by Foster + Partners is a symbol of renewal, conveying transparency and openness. Since 1999, the building has been the seat of the German Bundestag [Parliament]. With nearly three million visitors per year, the Reichstag building is the most-visited parliament in the world.

Norman Foster for the Reichstag

The Reichstag was furnished in collaboration with world-famous architect, Lord Norman Foster. Since then, Foster has created several programs for the synthesis of architecture and furnishings, including the Foster 500 sofas and armchairs, which are now considered modern classics. A strict chrome frame and the geometric leather surfaces floating precisely above it are their unmistakable characteristics.
